Conversational Capacity is a great book that touches on this. Disagreement is one of the things that you get to do if you have that capacity.

Also this feels tangential to otroversion. Preferring realer and deeper interactions even if they come at a cost.

Firstly, you need to highlight the difference between truth seeking people and those with low morals who are actually more psychopaths or at least jerks.
